ECREA IIC 2015: accomodation and travel information

ECREA-IIC conference 2013 in Barcelona!

As we are still welcoming submissions for our bi-annual conference in November 2015 (deadline 8 July 2015), we have gathered some useful information about accomodation and practicalities.

Accomodation

Barcelona is a very popular tourist destination and it hosts a large number of hotels from all different price ranges. The local conference committee has selected a list of hotels that are close by the conference venue and/or offer special discount rates for conference participants. Travel information

The conference will be hosted by the Faculty of Communication Studies of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). The UAB Campus is located in Bellaterra (around 35 minutes from Barcelona). The address of the conference venue is Faculty of Communication Studies – Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, UAB Campus – Building I, 08193 Bellaterra (Cerdanyola del Vallès), Barcelona – Spain.

How to get there?

– From the airport to Barcelona: there are different options of transport from the Airport El Prat –Barcelona to the city (http://www.aena-aeropuertos.es/csee/Satellite/Aeropuerto-Barcelona/en/Page/1237554338469)

– From Barcelona to the UAB Campus: Take the public train (Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat – FGC), lines S2 or S55, to the station “Universitat Autònoma” (http://www.fgc.es/eng/barcelona-valles.asp). Or take a cab from Barcelona to the campus, with a cost around 35 EURO. If you are staying at the Hotel SERHS Campus (www.serhscampushotel.com), this hotel is a 10 minute walk from the conference venue. A taxi from the Airport directly to this Hotel in the UAB campus could cost around 50 EURO.
